Impact of epigenetics

I brought much unhappiness to my family when I was struggling with my rheumatoid arthritis (read my story here), but when I healed, I experienced high energy and happiness. I could uplift the home environment with an infectious energy, create a lasting business that helps people struggling with chronic conditions across 27 countries, start a foundation via Kindness Practice Foundation and create a strong e-learning platform.

Many people dismiss it and then 𝙨𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧 through life, struggling on a daily basis to wake up, make it through the day and find sound sleep. Staying on the path of good health changes our 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, and helps in the following ways:

𝟭. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁. Because you’ll be sharper in your brain and nimble on your feet to their needs, you’ll be able to spend time playing board games, having conversations and creating happy memories. Your kids shouldn’t just remember you looking after their needs, they should remember you when they are grown-up, having fun with them and saying – “our mom/dad was/is the coolest!”

𝟮. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. Self nurturing will also be for your partner to appreciate, because as you get healthier, this inner energy and outer glow will increase self worth and will make you both want to steal some moments without always being tired. A husband/wife is not just to share home tasks with, they’re also your friend, companion, and romantic partner. And you need energy for all this, which you get by just following a healthy path.

𝟯. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀. You have goals, work, a life, and an identity outside of being a parent, a child, a coworker. Staying healthy helps you enhance your brain and makes it work faster. It also increases your inner strength, physical and mental agility, infusing, and infectious energy that helps you complete tasks faster. Especially for those above 40, a daily exercise routine and nutritious food shouldn’t be optional if they want to last out in top management without stumbling over a health issue that can set them back.

𝟰. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗷𝗼𝘆. How will you travel, enjoy life when your body and mind are sick? If the body is unwell, the mind is demotivated. If the body is in pain, the mind is tortured. If the body is in a state of constant inflammation, the risk of a sudden collapse through a cardiac arrest or lifestyle diseases becomes imminent. All this suffering is avoidable. It takes just making the right choices to have an able mind and body and not too much time.

Whether you’re prone to diseases genetically or not, remember that 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝟬% of the backdrop. 70 to 90% in your hands. Make your life large, exciting and enjoyable by looking after your mind and body and 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴.
