Farah is a trained Physiotherapist since 1996. Physiotherapy involves movement and exercise, which is a potent environmental stimulus known to induce epigenetic modifications. But Farah’s life changed when she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Having seen so many patients struggling with it, feeling debilitated, and giving up after the side-effects of medication, she decided this was not going to be her. She got in touch with Dr. Rachna and the rest as they say, is history. Slowly, as she improved, she had to courage to get rid of her toxic medication, including methotrexate. With her improved her daily quality of life, she pledged to give back to others.

Farah’s exercise alters DNA methylation and histone modifications, hence influencing the expression of genes involved in muscle adaptation (myogenesis, hypertrophy), metabolism, inflammation, pain pathways, and even cognitive function. It triggers a lower “epigenetic age” – a measure based on DNA methylation patterns that can reflect biological aging. This implies that exercise can contribute to a healthier epigenetic profile associated with longevity and reduced risk of age-related diseases. She qualified as a Physiotherapist, and always looks for ways to increase mobility.

Farah’s Physiotherapy and Epigentic Healing helps support those with pain issues and poor muscle mass.
